After graduating from Crossroads Bible College with a bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, I began looking for a position in a church. Although several opportunities presented themselves, my wife, Tina, and I felt God leading us to do something else.  I had parents asking me about what their children were doing online and saw their struggle with monitoring and filtering their internet access. I have also encountered many pastors highly concerned, but ill-equipped to give any sort of answer to these technology problems. I realized my experience and training in youth ministry and my knowledge of technology was a unique combination.

With support from Tina, our families, and friends, Wi-Fam began in February of 2008 in response to this serious problem. I started planning Wi-Fam to address the disturbing issues surrounding technology. I now recognize the unique set of gifts God has given me can be used to meet a critical need for parents and pastors. The goal of this organization is to help as many families as possible to harness technology as a positive tool in their homes by giving hands-on, practical teaching, free resources, and support.
